Brenda Becher-Ingwalson

Brenda Becher-Ingwalson, physical therapist and founder of RESTORE Physical Medicine, created this clinic out of the passion for her profession and its ability to help people lead active pain-free lives. The small, intimate clinic allows us to be immediately responsive and flexible when addressing patient's needs.

23 years of experience

Brenda Becher-Ingwalson, physical therapist and founder of RESTORE Physical Medicine, has 23 years of experience as a Physical Therapist. She opened RESTORE Physical Medicine in 2007. Since that time, she has the great joy of assisting her clients restore their health and postural habits so they may work, sleep, travel and exercise without pain. Brenda will teach you how to breathe deeply with your diaphragm, stabilize and unload your spine with abdominal muscle control, and relax tight painful muscles to restore restful sleep and unobstructed mobility.

Brenda enjoys advancing her education and learning in all areas of Postural Restoration Institute techniques. She loves assessing the biomechanical movement patterns of the human body and assisting clients restore proper movement patterns when faulty movement patterns are causing headaches, back pain, incontinence and obstructive sleep apnea. Brenda is particularly intrigued by the diaphragm and its role in core stability. Brenda sees many clients who also report sleep disturbances and she is currently focusing her continuing education in the study of normal restorative sleep patterns and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Poor sleep negatively impacts all aspects of our physical and mental well-being. Brenda is passionate about restoring normal restful sleep for all.

Pilates is also an integral part of rehabilitation at RESTORE Physical Medicine. Brenda has completed numerous continuing education classes for Rehabilitation and Pilates including bands and ball, mat and reformer.

When Brenda is not engrossed studying the human body, she loves to run, hike, garden, read, travel and camp with friends and family.

Postural Restoration Institute techniques have taught me how to become an expert in biomechanical alignment and movement patterns with the ability to correct malalignment and retrain movement patterns so you can breathe, walk, work, sleep and play with ease.

Don't wait for pain. Whether you want to get back in shape for summer or hike the Grand Canyon, schedule your evaluation today.

Our Services

RESTORE Physical Medicine is able to offer a full range of physical therapy and rehabilitation services with an emphasis in Postural Restoration techniques. We specialize in the treatment of chronic pain, fibromyalgia and hypermobility. In addition, we offer expertise in the treatment of low back pain, women’s health conditions such as incontinence, pregnancy and pelvic pain, and acute athletic injuries. All athletes are welcome here. Brenda is a runner herself and enjoys helping other runners get back on their feet. Brenda is committed to helping everyone get 7-9 hours of restorative sleep every night. Poor sleep quality impacts our cardiovascular health, our mental health, and our physical well-being. I am passionate about making sure everyone gets good restorative sleep.

The quality of your sleep is only as good as the efficiency of your breathing. If you wake in pain or wake feeling fatigued and foggy, it is likely that you are suffering from some level of restricted respiration. Breath is the body’s first priority and the pathway to restorative sleep. Solving the biomechanical problems that lead to ineffective respiration is easy, and full unrestricted respiration can be achieved with simple breathing exercises.

If your child complains of pain or injury, makes noises in their sleep, breaths with their mouth open during the day or night, or complains of headaches, parents please take these complaints seriously. These are physical alignments that can and should be resolved with physical therapy.

We would strongly encourage anyone who is considering orthodontia for themselves or their children to consult with a Postural Restoration Institute physical therapist prior to the initiation of braces to be sure that you or your child is in good alignment before bracing begins. The alignment of the teeth, jaw, head and neck have lifelong implications on health and wellbeing.
